Sunday Brunch

The rain last week washed away most of our snow (not to worry, it will be back!) and this morning we had four guests in our backyard, munching on the apples left over from the fall. We really don't see this too often since this is prime deer hunting country and they are pretty skittish, but I guess they know hunting season is over and they are safe for another year!

All of our snow is gones too, although it has been raining gallons (I think I have water in the crawl space).

I've been seeing deer by us too, although not as many as normal.

that is so cool! Our snow is far from melting (me thinking ice age is upon us).
Query: if snow doesn't melt at extremely cold temps, then why do the ice cubes in ones freezer melt?

As of today, all of our snow is gone too. We had buckets and buckets of rain overnight and more due later tonight and to turn to snow tomorrow---so it will be back. We have frequently had deer in our yard. They are so beautiful to see. You do have beautiful property.

I wonder how they know hunting season is over? Very nice you had visitors for brunch!
