First FOs of 2009

Oh ye of little faith - that L shaped piece of knitting in my last post - actually turned into these!

I couldn't have done it without the video though.

After a hot bath.....

The colors didn't really fade that much - it's just the lighting in the picture - but here they are!

I've already started on another pair!

And, a pair of felted fingerless mitts. They didn't start out with felting in mind - but when they turned out too big, well, what's a compulsive felter to do? Throw them in some hot water and see what happens. Luckily I knit them with Paton's wool and I just partially felted them - but I like! Think I'll make some more of these on purpose.

Not a FO - but a late Christmas gift from me to me - Casting Spells - our Whoduknit book for January, the Knitting Circle, recommended highly by some Whoduknit members, and a Monica Ferris book - Knitting Bones, because I had to bring the total up to $#25.00 to get the free postage LOL.

I am in LOVE with those slippers. I saw them the other day and thought about doing them. Now that I see how much better your color choices looks, I'll have to reconsider......so many choices, so little time!!!

Enjoy the weekend

cute slippers... I used to crochet slippers like that but then sew all the squares together.

What a genius pattern for those slippers! Ooo those books look good. I finished The Friday Night Knitting Club a couple months ago and have been thinking about some more knitting fiction. Would love to hear what you think of them!

What is wrong with me. I like them before they are felted! Is there such a pattern?

Those slippers are grand.

And, so, what is wrong with adding a little extra something for free shipping. I feel that by bringing it up for free shipping you are really saving, otherwise, you are just buying, oh, I don't know, "air" maybe.
