Another Clutch

Lately I can't seem to make just one of anything! I'm on a clutch kick and a flower kick so I combined the two in with this one. The bag is made from my kool-aid dyed yarn (Knitpicks bare bulky in variegated shades of 'grape') and the flower is made from some leftover yarn. The flower is a pin from Nicky Epstein's Knitted Flowers. The color actually matches the color of the clutch better than it shows in the photo. Do you think I should felt it? The pin in the book is not felted - but mine is made from 100% wool, so it will felt.

Can you felt the flower but not the leaves? That wouldn't work either as the flower would really shrink. I am not much help sorry.

Oh, this looks absolutely amazing, so cute and beautiful in this colorway! I'm afraid I don't have an idea though if you should leave the flower as it is or felt it - I think both versions would have their very special appeal!

If you felt it and don't like it - then there is an excuse to make another one!! LOL
I votet for felting - jsut because felting is so much fun

I agree with Danielle, felt it and if you don't like it you not only have to make another one but you have to make another bag or hat or something to go with your felted flower!
