Snowed in Again!

Yes, we are getting blasted again on the downeast coast of Maine. 14" on the ground and still coming down. I'm nursing one of those head colds where it aches behind your eyes - you know the kind? So a snowy day was just what I needed. I've been drinking this Lipton's mandarin orange flavored green tea. It's in these really cool triangle shaped tea-bags. I highly recommend it with a teaspoon of honey! And DH made some homemade chicken noodle soup mmmm-mmmmm good!

I did manage to block the scarf I made for DH. He is really not a scarf person, but asked me to make him one during the last snowstorm. He wanted red and all I could find was this kool-aid dyed knitpicks bare wool yarn that was sort of red. I added some dark olive green paton's wool that I had and did a simple 2x2 rib.

Now, for some Nyquil and a good night's sleep. Maybe it will stop snowing by the morning - but if it doesn't....I've got a good book to read and plenty of yarn!

Wow! and everyone here is preparing for the 6-8 inches of white stuff that is forecasted for tonight. At least it warmed up. (odd how it can snow at 3 degrees above zero).

Hope that you get well.

Your DH's scarf looks great! I am still plugging away at mine. (slow knitter).

Hope you are getting lots of knitting done while you are 'snowed-under'. So far, no snow in Richmond;I'd like one big one this winter.

I will have to try the fidget, looks great and will keep my neck warm with my short hair.

Glad to see you had such a wonderful Christmas.

I'm sorry you're sick, I hope you feel better soon. I envy your snow, I would like a blizzard down here! After the palmtrees from last week, that would be a fun (?) contrast. That scarf for DH is very nice!

Please-I don't want a blizzard. We are only expecting 2 to 4" here. That is quite enough for me. I like snow, but not in excess. Hope you got a snow day so you can rest up with that cold. I am just getting over a bad one. Love the scarf.

You would think that living in Michigan we would be seeing a lot of the white stuff too, but so far this season we have only had one big storm. I would love to get the type of storms you seem to get. I could curl up on the couch with my knitting and be perfectly happy staring out at the new fallen snow.

Jane,

Great scarf! I love the colors together.

We have yet to get nailed with anything major this year. Lots of threats but no follow through. LOL. We are supposed to get temps of about 5 degrees this weekend though.

Snuggle down and take care of yourself. Those are the worst kinds of headaches.
